Job Title: Internal Sales/Account Manager – Lighting (KBB Industry) – Garforth, Leeds

The Role We are looking for a bright, friendly, and confident Internal Salesperson to join our team at Sycamore Lighting. You will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of customer accounts in the KBB sector, ensuring they receive excellent service and identifying opportunities to grow their business with us. You’ll be great on the phone, comfortable making outbound calls to existing and prospective customers, and bring a positive, can-do attitude to every conversation. The role will also involve a small amount of order processing and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities - Act as the main point of contact for an assigned portfolio of customer accounts in the KBB sector

  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email promptly and warmly

  • Proactively contact customers to follow up on quotes, introduce new products, and explore opportunities for growth

  • Prepare and follow up on quotations to convert into sales orders

  • Process customer orders accurately using our internal systems

  • Use CRM and Management Information (MI) tools to record activity, track opportunities, and monitor account performance

  • Keep records up-to-date in our CRM and order management systems

  • Work closely with external sales, operations, and suppliers to ensure smooth order fulfilment

  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products

  • Assist in resolving any order or delivery issues

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in internal sales, account management, or a proactive customer service role is essential

  • Comfortable making outbound calls and building relationships over the phone

  • Excellent telephone manner – confident, friendly, and professional

  • Experience using CRM and Management Information tools to manage customer data and monitor sales performance

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders

  • Confident using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and order processing systems

  • Naturally positive, approachable, and able to build rapport quickly

  • Experience in the lighting or KBB industry would be helpful but is not essential

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30–17:00, Friday 08:30–16:00
